Back to work today. And so we get back to the routine, I find I seem to manage and get my routine back to normal on my days off. I stop feeling bloated and uncomfortable and I eat much better than when I’m at work. Don’t get me wrong, I take the right foods to work, but for some reason I can’t keep myself from the snacks, chocolate biscuits, cake. Not just other staff are bring in but also patients. So I need to bring on some self control, and I think the only way to do that is to practice some.
So I’m starting a good habit today, I made breakfast; protein pancakes (made of only banana and egg), with tomato, capsicum, baby spinach, mushrooms and avocado on the side. I have a protein shake ready for after my workout, and a vegetable curry ready for dinner at work tonight. No afternoon tea today, maybe a coffee or just a drink of water.
I’m off to the gym for a cardio session today, the aim is to make 600 calories in 40mins. I’ve been pretty good lately, yoga on my days off and cardio on work days. But, I had a rest day yesterday, so it’s back to the gym for me.
